30 Dec 2006 The last New Year's Eve gig I did was funny. It was a last minute gig playing keys with a reggae band that would back a whole bunch of different artists. There were a lot of the Bay Area's Jamaican reggae stars there. When it came time to count down, one of the artists went up to the mic, looked at his watch and started a count down, ten to one, happy new year. We started the first song of the new year. But then a couple minutes later, another artist looked at his watch and it said 11:58 so he took the mic, stopped the band and started the count down, happy new year... again. And then, no kidding a 3rd artist started a countdown until someone in the band went up to him and he was like, Oh really? but my watch says... Funniest new year's gig.
