In a couple of weeks, I'll be down in LA for the ASCAP Convention. I went last year and had a great time and learned a lot. And of course met many great people.

In the first season of AI, I thought it would be cool if they had a contest for songwriters. They always pick a theme for each week, like Motown, Rock, etc and I thought they could have one week with the top songwriters from the contest. Then viewers could vote on best performance and best song.
After many years, they finally announced a contest. It isn't exactly like I envisioned but of course I had to enter. I entered three songs "Wow", "Couldn't Walk Away", "King For A Day". Top twenty of thousands will be picked by AI. These will be voted on by the public and the winner will be sung and recorded by AI winner this season.
